Here I am starting a new section on wood burning stoves.It will be a collection of some of the bits I have built and  a collection of links from the web.I do this in a hope to give others Ideas

Here is one of  my stoves I now have running in my garage.As you will notice the grate  has the bars spaced  far apart this was a mistake. what I needed to do was to make them very close close together as you get most of the heat from the wood embers and they where just falling through to the ash section in the bottom

My smaller model   was for the backwoods campout and it worked very well. the hotplate is not just weded ontop I cut out a square hole  for it to fit into also the chimney pipe extends about 2 inches  into the body. this is so  most of the heat will hit the hotplate before it goes up the flue. As you heat risesso i dont want it shootiing straight up the flue  before its heated the hotplate. But do make sure its not lower that the top of the door  other wise  the smoke will exit through the door and not the flue
