Ive just ordered myself a new stove off ebay a Gasoline/gas stove

I am expecting it in the post any day now
its fueled by Unlead Gasoline, kerosene oil, Butane / Propane Mixture and other fuels.
so it will use gas as well as liquid fuels. As soon as it arrives I will post an update on how it performs
I will probably run it either off Gas or Kerosene
SO I though I would check out the the price and availability of kerosene / parrafin as the stove will run on this as well as other liquid fuels and gas.
I live in a Village and my local petrol station stocks Paraffin. its sold from a pump just like petrol. Now with the station been an independent his fuels costs a little more than the main players like Jet, BP ,Esso and the supermarkets.
His paraffin is 79p per litre so 4 litres =£3.16 .Not bad price compared to
meths at £1.99 for 500 mills so 4 litres= £15.92 which i use at the moment on my meths cooker
But yesterday I was in one of the local Discount DIY warehouses and spotted 4 Litre containers of paraffin for a whopping £6.99 and B&Q do it for £5.98
So for once my local supply is cheaper by a saving of £2.82
I know I don’t get a container with it from my local petrol station. I will be using a jerrycan to store it in.So I’m not using those plastic containers they come in so Im doing a bit more for the environment
so locally the costs of fuel per litre and for 4 liters
| supply | 500ml | 1litre | 4litres |
| local petrol station | 79p | £3.16 | |
| B&Q | NA | £5.98 | |
| Local DIY discount | NA | £6.99 | |
| homebase | NA | £5.99 | |
which surprised me then a local independent can supply it cheaper than the Big boys
